Hello

Hi, I’m Linda!

I’m an experimental artist, educator, maker, homeschool mom, and facilitator of fun and joy. I’m also proudly neurospicy, endlessly curious, a little unconventional, and rarely satisfied with “because that’s the way it’s always been done.”

I like to ask “Why?” “What if?” and, probably most often, “Why not?” I love challenging the usual way of doing things, looking at something from a different angle, and creating room for ideas that don’t always fit neatly inside the lines.

At the heart of what I do is connection. I meet people where they are and have a natural way of helping them feel comfortable, welcome, and free to be themselves. I especially connect with kids. I listen to them, respect their ideas, laugh with them, and give them space to show up as they are—curious, silly, cautious, wildly enthusiastic, or somewhere in between. Trust comes first. The rest tends to follow.

I believe we all need more opportunities to play, wonder, make, experiment, get messy, laugh, and try things simply because we’re curious about what might happen. Adults included.

I don’t believe creativity has to be serious, learning has to look a certain way, or everything we make needs to have a purpose. Sometimes the experience is the purpose.

Outside the Box is an extension of all of that—and, in many ways, an extension of me. It’s about creating spaces where people can be themselves, try something new, connect, discover, and experience a little more joy.

​

And when someone says, “You can’t do it that way…” My first thought is usually, “Why not?”
